The Newberry Library Exhibit

Today my son wasn't feeling well so I drove him into the city to school and saved him from a long train ride. Since I was down there I decided to go see the Chicago Calligraphy Collective's annual exhibit at the Newberry Library. I took some photos and they aren't the greatest because ny camera isn't the greatest, but at least you can see some of what was there. It was INSPIRING!!! As usual!!

Back in the Mood for Mandalas!

I was inspired to create a very "springy" mandala the other day. There are some things about this one that I really love. I'm driven to keep experimenting with the colored pencils on black. Something about that combination really grabs me!!
